New England is situated on the Great Dividing Range of eastern Australia & is a unique environment with cold winters & Summer rainfall which is ideal for superior merino breeding. It is a low risk area for sheep diseases including Ovine Johnes Disease (OJD); New England is a “Protected Area”.
The New England Merino Field Day is held every second year with the next event to be held on Saturday 15th January 2022. The Field Day includes visits to some of New England’s leading Merino Studs plus more Stud displays at the URALLA Showground.
